:The result was a bit of a set back for the band, after they had put in one of the best performances on the test piece.It was obvious that the adjudicator, did not like the style we played the music and with him having conducted the same test piece in the 3rd Section of the Midlands Regionals, he had own opinion how the piece should be played. We will take the Adjudicators comments on board and move onwards.This was the first contest for the band in the 3rd Section and shows we can hold our own in that Section.

Solid start, with good balance, untidy bar 7 then OK. A super horn /Cornet / Euph and nice agitato & Allarg.
C lovely balance Allegro again this flows nicely with good balance and dynamic contrast all the way to G.
Well done soloists very dolce Andante pattern this is super both from solo and accompaniments with good dynamic contrasts. Well done Euph.
Allegro lots of detail here and good contrasts.
K well declaimed.
Andante super pianissimo start, lovely soloist with expression only odd blip but doesn't detract at all well done all soloists.
Andante affetuoso not secure as it could be.
N cadenza could be more animated but a brave effort.
Allegro again good pulse and dynamic contrasts and good changes in style and good balance and flows all way to close.
